MANILA, Philippines (26th FIBA Asia championship): Naturalized center Marcus Douthit flexed his muscles for 17 points and 9 rebounds and Marcio Lassiter contributed 16 points as SEABA champions P defeated 2009 FIBA Asia Championship bronze medalists Jordan 80-71 in a friendly scrimmage on Saturday. Effectively this was the last game for Jordan before they play in Group C of the Sept 15-25 26th Fiba Asia Championship in Wuhan against Japan, fellow WABA team Syria and SEABAS’s Indonesia. Philippines have one more game against GCC champions Qatar on Sunday for coach Rajko Toroman to fine tune his plans. "Marcus will play a big part. We didn’t have him in the Asian Games. Now, together with Kelly (Williams) and Ranidel (de Ocampo) we’ll have a solid frontline,” Toroman said looking ahead at Wuhan from where the champion team will qualify directly for the 2012 London Olympics. The second and third placed teams will play the FIBA Olympic Qualifying tournament. Philippines are drawn with hosts China, GCC teams UAE andBahrain in Group D for the Prelimiary Round at Wuhan. On this night Chris Tiu had 10 points and Philippines long standing PBA import Asi Taulava pulled down 8 rebounds. Sam Daghles scored 14 points and 4 rebounds for Jordan. Wesam Al-Sous and Ali Zaghab each had a dozen points as naturalized guard Rasheim Wright scored 11 points and dished out 4 assists besides pulling down 4 rebounds.
